Mother Tongue Week

Last week, SWA held a special event as we celebrated Mother Tongue week. At lunch time, there were singing and dancing shows by teachers and students all week. They looked awesome wearing their costumes on stage. On Friday the teachers and students were wearing international dresses. Many people enjoyed the celebration because of the food fair. Wednesday was Europe day and on Thursday it was Aussie Day.
On Friday at lunch time, parents and teachers were selling many different foods from different countries. I found them interesting and I didn’t recognize some of the foods at first until I asked them what it was. I bought some Korean food which I liked so much. Almost everyone bought food from the Food Fair rather than in the cafe. My classmates wore some interesting costumes and they were kind of unique. Everyone wore costumes from Kindergarden to high school and even teachers except for me. I did not wear any costumes because I didn’t know where to rent or buy one.
